Itinerary

• Day 1 : Pickup from Kigali and Transfer to Bwindi

  First, your professional tour guide will pick you up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel in Kigali. After a short safari briefing, you will begin your journey toward the Uganda border. Meanwhile, you will drive through Rwanda's rolling hills, which beautifully demonstrate why people call it the "Land of a Thousand Hills." Next, you will clear customs at the border crossing and enter Uganda. As you head toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the landscape changes into lush, terraced mountains. Finally, you will check into your lodge, relax, and enjoy a peaceful dinner as you prepare for the big adventure tomorrow.

• Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Return to Kigali

  This day is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch. Here, park rangers will brief you on trekking safety guidelines and assign you to a specific gorilla family. Subsequently, you will enter the thick rainforest to begin your search. The trek can take anywhere from two to six hours, depending on where the gorillas spent the night. Although the hike through the dense undergrowth can be challenging, the reward is truly unmatched. Once you find the gorilla family, you will spend one magical hour watching them. You will see playful infants, caring mothers, and the commanding presence of the giant silverback. Remember to take plenty of photos and videos during this time. After this breathtaking encounter, you will hike back to the starting point to receive your trekking certificate. Consequently, your guide will drive you back across the border, arriving in Kigali by evening for your drop-off at the airport or hotel.
