Overview
3 Days Mount Nyiragongo Hike tour to Mt Nyiragongo volcano is one of the exciting hikes in Congo, Nyiragongo is one of the few active volcanoes in the Virunga region. It hosts the world’s biggest Lava Lake hence being one of the interesting Mountain to climb in Congo. The top of this volcano provides fantastic views of the entire Virunga National Park and surrounding communities. This tour will start from Kigali and end in Kigali Rwanda.
Note: ensure fitness so as to conquer the altitude.as the starting point is at 1989m (6,525ft) and ascend to 3470m (11,382ft)

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Kivu Gisenyi and Boat ride in the afternoon.
In the morning you will be picked up by the driver/guide from the Airport or your Hotel after breakfast and transfer you to Gisenyi on the shores of Lake Kivu. On arrival, you will have lunch and later take a boat ride to tour around the lake Kivu. Visit coffee island, Gas plant and Hot springs later you will cross over to Congo and proceed to Goma and then to your lodge where you will spend the night, dinner and overnight at,

Day 2: Mount Nyiragongo hike experience
On this Mount Nyiragongo Hike tour day, you will have breakfast early morning, then you guide will take you to the briefing at the hiking departure point at Kibati patrol post which takes approximately 30 minutes from Goma.
The hiking safari experience usually starts at 10:00AM and will take approximately 4-6 hours depending on the speed, and strength of the participants in order to reach the summit of the volcano. You will then enjoy the views of the summit.
Have dinner and stay overnight at the Summit shelter Camp.
Day 3: Descend the Mountain, cross and drive back to Kigali.
In the morning you will descend back from the Volcano and continue to the border to crossover again to Rwanda. You will then proceed to Kigali where you will be dropped at the Airport for your departure or at your Hotel.
