Day 1: Kampala/Entebbe – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your 4-Day Bwindi Gorillas begins with an early morning departure from Kampala or Entebbe. Meet your professional safari guide and start your journey west toward Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Drive through Uganda’s scenic countryside, passing traditional villages, agricultural landscapes, rolling hills and local communities.

Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoy an afternoon game drive. Keep your eyes open for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, warthogs, antelopes and numerous bird species. With luck, you may also encounter lions or leopards.

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, continue toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda, including rolling hills, forests, farms and local communities.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the highlight of your 4-Day Uganda Gorilla Safari.

After an early breakfast, proceed to the appropriate Bwindi park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. You will then enter the dense rainforest accompanied by experienced guides and trackers.

The trek can take several hours depending on the location of your assigned gorilla family. Bwindi’s mountainous terrain and thick vegetation make the journey an exciting wilderness experience.

When you find the gorillas, enjoy an unforgettable encounter as you observe these endangered primates in their natural habitat while following the park’s trekking regulations.

After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. If time and energy permit, you can enjoy an optional community or cultural experience.
