7 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari with Gorillas
Day 1: Airport pick up and transfer to Bwindi forest (8-9 hours’ drive)
Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met by your safari driver and embark on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. You will have a stopover at the equator for photography and the experiment and another stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed to Bwindi arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Ruhija Community Rest Camp Lodge for budget/Bakiga Lodge for mid-range
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience – boat trip on Lake Bunyonyi
Enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing by the ranger guides and later head into the forest for your trek. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. These primates roam the park freely and there is no way of telling where they will be for a particular day. On finding them, you will be allowed 1 hour to view and take photos of these gentle primates, enjoy your lunch packs and meet your driver / guide.
After trekking, connect on a 2hours’ drive to Lake Bunyonyi. Upon arrival, connect for an afternoon/evening canoe ride on the deepest lake in Uganda visit the different islands on the lake. Thereafter, connect to your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Eco-Lodge for budget/Acardia Cottages for mid-range
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale national park (7 hours’ drive) – afternoon chimpanzee trekking
As early as 6 am, set off to transfer to Kibale national park. This is quite a long drive so no stop overs will be made in order to reach in time for chimpanzee trekking that starts at 2 pm in Kibale national park. The search for the chimpanzees takes 2-5 hours into the rainforest. On finding the chimpanzees, you will be allowed an hour to spend with them before you return to the starting point. Meet your driver and connect to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Isunga lodge for budget/Chimpanzee Forest lodge for mid-range
Day 4: Transfer to Murchison falls national park – top of the falls visit
You have breakfast at 6:00am, prepare for the early morning journey to Murchison falls national park. This is a long journey taking 6-7 hours with en-route lunch and stretching, driving from the western Uganda to north-western Uganda. Arrive in the afternoon and proceed to explore the top of the Murchison falls before you continue to your booked lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight stay at Parkside safari lodge for budget/Pakuba safari lodge for mid-range
Day 5: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls
You have breakfast at 6:00am prepare for the early morning game drive to see animals before they return to their hideouts including lions, Hyenas, buffaloes, chances of Leopards and many more.
After the encounter return and relaxes after lunch get ready for the afternoon boat cruise to see the bottom of the falls and some animals that come to drink from the River like the Elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles and others. Transfer back to your lodge for relaxation with en-route evening game viewing. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 6: Transfer to Jinja (7-8 hours’ drive) – Quad biking
After breakfast, check out very early from the lodge and embark on your journey to Jinja via Kampala with en-route lunch break. Upon arrival in Jinja in the afternoon, connect for the Quad biking safari for 2 hours, exploring the Nile River and the communities. Thereafter, drive to your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at 2 Friends Guesthouse for mid-range/Jinja Base Camp for budget
Day 7: White water rafting and transfer to Entebbe – Departure
After breakfast, connect for your water rafting experience on the Nile, it’s a full day activity. You will first report for briefing then be provided with rafting gears for the activity. After rafting at around 4 pm, embark on your 3 hour’ drive back to Entebbe. You will be dropped off at the airport for your night flight back home.
