This 7 Day Uganda wildlife and Gorilla trekking Safari takes you to three of the country’s top wildlife destinations. You’ll start with game drives and a boat cruise in Murchison Falls National Park, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park for more wildlife viewing and a cruise along the Kazinga Channel, and then head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. The tour offers a perfect mix of adventure, nature, and unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Entebbe. You’ll drive north through Uganda’s scenic countryside, stopping en route at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided walking experience to see white rhinos in their natural habitat. After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest park. In the late afternoon, visit the top of the falls to witness the powerful Nile squeezing through a narrow gorge and plunging down dramatically.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive  and Hike top of the falls.

Rise early for a morning game drive across the northern savannah plains of Murchison Falls. Look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribis, and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation.

In the afternoon, enjoy a hike to the top of the falls and you will be sure to enjoy the scenic views of the bottom of the falls from the top. The hike ends with a spectacular view of the falls from the top.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving through the scenic Albertine Rift Valley. The full-day journey offers views of rural Uganda, tea plantations, crater lakes, and traditional homesteads. Arrive in the evening and check in at your lodge near the Kasenyi plains.

Day 4: Game Drive  and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Begin with a sunrise game drive in the Kasenyi sector, famous for its predators and large herds of Uganda kobs, which attract lions and leopards. You may also see elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and hyenas.

In the afternoon, take a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lakes George and Edward. This cruise offers close-up views of hippos, crocodiles, and water birds like pelicans, storks, and cormorants.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, drive south through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth, well known for its tree-climbing lions that lounge in fig trees. Keep your eyes open for sightings as you pass through. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

Check in at your lodge and relax in the forested highlands.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. With the guidance of experienced trackers and rangers, enter the thick rainforest to search for a habituated gorilla family.

The trek can last from 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movement, but once found, you’ll spend one unforgettable hour watching them feed, groom, and interact—just meters away. This is one of the most powerful wildlife encounters on earth.

Return to the lodge for relaxation and a well-deserved rest.

Day 7: Return to Entebbe and End of Tour

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Entebbe depending on your travel plans. Enjoy a scenic drive with stops along the way for lunch and photography. Your driver-guide will drop you off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your unforgettable 7-day Ugandan adventure.
