Day 1: From the Equator to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Our journey begins with an early departure from Kampala, with our first stop at the Equator. Here, you’ll have the chance to experience the thrill of standing in both hemispheres, capturing those fun photos that symbolize the start of your adventure. After a short break, we’ll continue on to Mbarara town for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll settle into your lodge, relax, and prepare for the days ahead.
Day 2: Game Drive, Katwe Salt Lake, and Launch Cruise
We’ll start our day early with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector, where you’ll have the chance to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species amid the stunning landscapes. After a refreshing lunch, we’ll cruise along the Kazinga Channel, connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. Bird lovers will especially enjoy this outing, as the channel is known for its rich birdlife. Afterward, we’ll head back to the lodge for a relaxing evening.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kibale National Park
Following breakfast, we’ll head out for another game drive—each one unique, offering new wildlife sightings and breathtaking scenery. Afterward, we’ll freshen up, then make our way to Kibale National Park, stopping in Fort Portal for lunch. This lush forest park will be our base for chimpanzee tracking and community experiences.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Community Walk
Today, we’ll dive into the forest of Kibale, often called the “Primate Capital of the World,” for an exhilarating chimpanzee tracking experience. With the guidance of a ranger, you’ll trek through the forest trails, observing the fascinating behaviors of these remarkable primates. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the nearby Bigodi community, where you can spot the great blue turaco and other bird species, take a scenic swamp walk, and enjoy warm interactions with local residents.
Day 5: Return to Kampala or Airport
On our final day, we’ll take a detour to a tea plantation estate for a brief but fascinating tour. Here, you’ll learn the A-Z of tea production and enjoy the beautiful views. Then, with your hearts full of adventure and memories, we’ll head back to Kampala or the airport for your journey home.
