4 Days Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and Bisoke
Day 1: Pick-up in Kigali and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
Depending on your location in Kigali, you will be picked up by our company representative/guide who will then transfer to Bwindi national park. The park is located in the south western part of the country, it’s a 4 hours’ drive with en route lunch. On arrival to the park, you will proceed and check in your lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge/Buhoma Community Rest Camp/Bakiga lodge for budget
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking experience
Have breakfast and transfer you to park offices for briefing about Mountain Gorilla trekking by a local guide. The time taken is usually between 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Meeting the gorillas unexpectedly is one of the most captivating lifetime experiences. You will have a chance to observe and take pictures at very close range. You will observe adults feeding and groaning among themselves. After an hour with the long-awaited gorillas, your guide and rangers will lead you back to the starting point where your driver will readily be waiting for you to connect back to your lodge. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the lodge or go for an optional nature walk. Dinner and overnight at lodge as lodge as above
Day 3; Transfer to Volcanoes national park
After breakfast, meet your guide and transfer to Volcanoes national park. It’s a 3 hours drive from Bwindi. Cross via Cyanika border and connect to Musanze for lunch, visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, thereafter connect to Ibya cuwa community village for a cultural experience of Kinyarwanda. Proceed to your lodge to check-in, dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Muhabura for budget
Day 4: Bisoke (Visoke) Hike – Volcanoes National Park
You will enjoy breakfast and set out for Mt. Bisoke hike which is part of volcanoes national park; home to Rwanda gorillas. On reaching the summit, you will discover a beautiful crater lake and the whole experience is overwhelming! Along the trail, you will discover a lot of birdlife and captivating scenery – the reason Rwanda is referred to as the “land of a thousand hills”.
After the hike, you will have lunch and transfer to Kigali city where time allowing, you will visit the genocide museum and later transfer to the airport for your onward flight or dropped at your hotel in Kigali.
