This 5-day Uganda safari from Kigali combines the best of Uganda’s primates, scenic beauty, and cultural experiences. Beginning with a very early morning transfer from Kigali, you will trek golden monkeys in Mgahinga, encounter mountain gorillas in Bwindi, relax at Lake Bunyonyi, and then explore Kibale for chimpanzee trekking and a village cultural walk with coffee experience. Day 1: Pickup in Kigali, Golden Monkey Trekking, and Transfer to Bwindi
Your safari begins with a 3:00 am pickup in Kigali by your driver-guide. After border formalities at Cyanika, you proceed to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for golden monkey trekking. The trek leads you through bamboo forests to encounter playful golden monkeys—an endangered species found only in the Virunga region.
In the afternoon, continue the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the mountain gorillas. Settle into your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before your gorilla trekking adventure. The trek can last between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once located, you’ll spend one magical hour observing the gorillas as they feed, groom, and interact.
Later in the afternoon, transfer to the serene Lake Bunyonyi, where you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the 29 islands.

Day 3: Boat Cruise on Lake Bunyonyi & Transfer to Kibale
After breakfast, enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi, exploring its islands and learning about the legends behind them. This lake, dotted with terraced hills, is also a birdwatcher’s haven.
After the cruise, set off on a long scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park, passing through tea plantations and crater lakes. Arrive in the evening for dinner and rest.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking, Coffee Experience & Community Walk
After breakfast, head into Kibale Forest for your chimpanzee trekking adventure. The forest hosts over 1,500 chimpanzees, and the trek allows you to watch them forage, play, and swing through the trees.
In the afternoon, enjoy a coffee-making experience in a local village, learning the entire process from bean to cup. Later, you’ll join a guided community walk, offering deeper cultural insights into the lives of the Batooro people, their homesteads, and traditions.

Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe & End of Tour
After breakfast, depart Kibale for a full-day drive to Entebbe. The journey takes you through lush countryside, roadside markets, and busy trading centers. You will arrive in the evening, marking the end of your safari.
