Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Your guide will meet you at Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala. After a short briefing, begin your journey northwards to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest park. Along the way, stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos on foot—an exciting conservation success story. Continue through scenic landscapes before arriving at your lodge, situated near the Nile River.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Safari on the Nile

Wake up early for a game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. This savannah landscape is home to elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and many antelope species. After lunch, embark on an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile River. As you sail upstream, expect close views of hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. The highlight is reaching the base of the thunderous Murchison Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gorge.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, leave Murchison Falls and drive southwards to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The drive is long but incredibly scenic, passing through rolling hills, crater lakes, and vibrant villages. Arrive in the park by evening and settle into your lodge.

Day 4: Game Drive & Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

Start your day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, famous for its prides of lions, large herds of elephants, and Uganda kob antelopes. If lucky, you may also spot leopards and hyenas. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. This area boasts one of the highest concentrations of hippos and bird species in the world.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today you will drive southwards through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. With some luck, you might spot them resting on fig trees. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half the world’s mountain gorillas. Arrive in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. Experienced guides and trackers will then lead you into the dense jungle to find one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can last from 2 to 6 hours, but the reward of spending one hour observing these gentle giants is truly unforgettable.

After the trek, drive to the nearby Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful lakes in Africa, known for its terraced hills and 29 islands. Relax at your lakeside lodge.

Day 7: Transfer Back to Entebbe and End of Tour
