Day 2: Libreville – Port Gentil – Loango National Park Ndola Lodge

An early morning flight takes you to Port Gentil, where a thrilling 4-hour 4WD journey awaits to transport you to Loango via Liambisi. Arriving around mid-day, embark on a forest walk in Loango National Park for a captivating game drive, immersing yourself in the park’s natural wonders. Spend the night at Ndola Lodge, nestled amidst the wilderness.

Day 3: Trekking Western Lowland Gorillas in Loango NP: Ndola – Yatouga – Ndola

After breakfast, depart Ndola for a scenic 2-hour canoe voyage to the Yatouga Research Camp, the starting point for an unforgettable gorilla safari. Explore the Yatouga Forest, home to a significant population of Western Lowland Gorillas, with a high likelihood of encountering a habituated gorilla family. Spend an hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat before returning to the research camp. Later, sail south to Akaka Forest, a remote area teeming with wildlife. Conclude the day with a return to Ndola Lodge for a sumptuous dinner.

Day 4: Ndola – Louri Wilderness Camp

Embark on a morning game drive within Loango National Park, where you’ll encounter an array of wildlife, including dwarf buffaloes, red river hogs, and forest elephants. After lunch, journey to Louri, another captivating section of the park renowned for its diverse wildlife. Depending on transportation options, sail or drive through the forest, enjoying encounters with various species. Arrive at Louri Wilderness Camp, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by the park’s natural splendor.

Day 5: Exploring Louri – Ndola Ndola Lodge

Spend the day immersed in nature, with opportunities to witness the famous “surfing hippos” that make Loango National Park a global attraction. Experience the untamed beauty of Louri Wilderness Camp, a charming tented camp overlooking the Louri Lagoon. Day 6: Ndola – Port Gentil – Libreville Radisson Blue Okoume Palace Hotel

Embark on a final morning adventure in Loango National Park, perhaps opting for a forest hike in the coastal forest to seek out wildlife. After lunch at the lodge, depart for Port Gentil via Liambissi, where you’ll catch an evening domestic flight to Libreville. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and transferred to the Radisson Blu Okoume Palace Hotel for the night, marking the end of your wilderness expedition.

Day 7: Leisure Day and Departure

Enjoy a leisurely day at the hotel, with optional activities to fill your time before your evening Air France flight. Reflect on your unforgettable journey through Gabon’s wilderness as you prepare for your departure.
